Experts in software.

Horjus IT Solutions is an IT company based in Almere. Some of the work we are proud of is the hypermodern reading app Embertale, the mobile game Henry the Cloud, and fifteen years of IT services for a family owned company, delivered long before the cloud made that easy. Today the practice covers contracted development, software architecture and AI consultancy.

  • Recommendations drawn from reading history, suggesting two directions after finishing The Way of Kings
  • Forgotten books resurfaced from the reader's own to-be-read shelf, each with a note on why it was saved
  • Natural-language search for "thought-provoking philosophical sci-fi", with match percentages for each result
  • A conversation with Spark, the in-app assistant, reorganising shelves and proposing smart collections in plain language
  • Smart collections that assemble themselves, such as "Easy reads under 250 pages" and "Philosophical sci-fi"
  • A personal bookshelf with reading progress, and a prompt to log how far you got today
  • A reading year in review: mood breakdown, a reading-days heatmap, pages per day, and achievements
  • A public profile alongside a feed of what friends are reading and finishing

Game

Henry the Cloud

As part of our joint venture Dual Cortex Gaming, we developed a game from concept through release. All assets were hand-drawn and the game code made from scratch. Climbed to the #15 spot in TouchArcade's Hottest Games within only 24 hours of release.

Contracted software development

Hands-on delivery on your codebase or a new one, as a contracted developer or in an advisory role alongside your team.

Software architecture

Structure for systems that have to keep running: platform choices, data and integration design, and the decisions that are expensive to reverse later.

AI consultancy

Where AI earns its place in a product rather than shoe-horning it in, how to apply it ethically and efficiently, and how to build it so it holds up in production.

Let's talk about the work.

Send a message about a project, an architecture question, or just connect to have a chat.
